What is "Business Acumen"?
Business acumen is a buzz word you hear all the time in business. The word acumen is defines as the ablility to make good and quick decisions. Busines acumen can be taken a step further and be defined as keenness and quickness in understanding and dealing with a business situation in a manner that is likely to lead to a good outcome. How will BBO Help me?
BizBasics will help you learn the basic business skills to build your acumen and then a methodology to make better business decisions. With this methodology you can evaluate the “intangibles”of a decision along with the financial aspects of a decision. When you evaluate a decision using our methodology, you can be confident with your choice. This methodology has saved many conference rooms from breaking out in WW3! And although we discuss this methodology in a business/career standpoint, it is also invaluable in your personal life and many have applied it to difficult decisions they are facing. They can feel peace that they have evaluated the entire situation to reach a decision. In our courses we mention a few times this methodology was put to good use in a personal application.
DO I get Continuing Education Credits for BBO?
After you complete each BizBasics Online course, you will have the opportunity to download and print a Course Completeion certificate. Professional Development Hours are indicated on the certificate. Many companies and businesses will accept Professional Development Hours. To keep our courses affordable, we are not accredited to provide Continuing Education credits. How long will each course take?
That depends. We say to plan 4-6 hours to complete each course. Some people may take longer, and we have had some learners only take 1 1/2 hours to complete a course. It is dependent on your skill set. If this is your first time using a spreadsheet or discussing finance subjects or haven’t thought about statistics since high school, you may take longer to complete each course. No matter how long you may take, you can stop each course and pick up where you left off. You do not need to complete the entire course in one sitting-that would only lead to exhaustion! Take your time to internalize these concepts. They will make a difference in your acumen and making better business decisions.
How long do I have to complete the BBO curriculum?
Most people complete the entire BBO curriculum in one month. We know life can get in the way, so we give you 3 months to complete the course. If you need more time, just let us know via email at info@BizBasicsOnline.com and we can work something out!
What is your refund policy?
We think you will love our courses, and the concepts will be invaluable to your business or career. If you are not satisfied, please let us know. We may be able to help you out. Generally, online training course orders are not eligible for cancellation, transfer, or refund. We may approve a refund/cancellation provided the student meets the following requirements:
- The student must notify us of his/her desire to cancel in writing within 24 hours of placing the online order. Requests must be sent via e-mail, and
- The student must not have exceeded the maximum training time allowed for any online course— usually 6–8 pages of learning in a course.
Other Terms and Conditions:
- Online training may not be transferred to another student.
- Students have 90 days to complete an online course.
- We will not consider “corporate account” or a “discount code” order for a refund.
- Students can request an extension past the 90 days, provided you contact us before your access to the training course has expired at the end of the 90-day period.
- All courses have a final exam. Students must pass the final exam to earn the certificate of completion.
